Kenya opens 400 new schools; literacy hits an all-time high

Kenya's Ministry of Education announced today that the country has completed 400 new primary schools, part of a five-year plan to close geographic gaps in access.
National literacy for children aged 6–12 has climbed to 94%, the highest ever recorded.
